Summer Fun for the Kids!

The summer is upon us and as you enjoy the sunshine and everything summery you may be wondering; what else is out there that your kiddos and yourself can do to fill those long summer days? Well, you are in luck! We’ve featured a couple of local Hamilton businesses who have programming for kids throughout the summer.

Messy Play Studio

Messy Play Studio specializes in creative sensory experiences for kids starting at 6 months of age and up. They believe that giving children the freedom to explore, get messy and be curious is an amazing way to learn and build on developmental skills. When they use foods in their infant activities they are organic and taste safe. Messy Play Studio encourage you to “Come get messy with them” this summer and have loads of fun!

Little Makers Hamilton

If your kiddo is into making, creating and learning to use real tools then Little Makers Hamilton is the place for you! They inspire hands-on skill-building and encourage practical skills of production and believe in being socially responsible. Their motto is “little people. BIG ideas.” and will be providing some fantastic projects to work on over the summer.

Determination Martial Arts

Looking for something active for the summer? Determination Martial Arts is it! Located at 1360 Main Street East their studio has classes for both children and adults. They are an amazing part of the Crown Point Community and strive to support personal growth and skill development. Determination Martial Arts also provides full programming for special needs students.

AiDa – Academy of Imagination and Dramatic Arts

If you’re kids have a flare for the dramatic then AiDa is where it’s at. They are “mission driven arts education to inspire creative expression, leadership, mentoring, literacy and more.” They are an award winning program located at 167 Cline Ave. North in Hamilton, Ontario. AiDa is a rich part of the community and through the dramatic arts strives to foster many skills including confidence, leadership and creative expression. There are also some fantastic leadership and mentoring opportunities available.
